Terms and conditions of a contract with the car rental Tommy’s Rent a Car

1) These are our terms and conditions for a contract with Tommy’s Rent a Car. Clear, easy and without any surprises. All prices are final prices (incl. taxes & insurance). Booking at Tommy’s Rent a Car you always know exactly what you will have to pay. 2) Placing your booking request please indicate the preferred car group. In case that there should be no car available of the selected group, you will get a substitute.

3) The rental price includes:  - Taxes: IVA and IGIC (Spanish VAT) – Unlimited kilometers – Comprehensive insurance with excess INSURANCE DEDUCTION: 500,-  Euros - Additional driver without extra costs

4) Free airport service – The airport service in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, is free for bookings from 1 week up. On the airport there will be a collaborator from Tommy’s Rent a Car waiting at the "Meeting point".

5) Additional equipment – Child seat + 3,00.- Euro/day

6) We kindly ask you to take note and respect the traffic laws. Traffic fines for infractions (like wrong parking) will be charged to the client. Driver’s license, experience and minimum age: The driver must have a valid license for the hired car category, with minimum 3 years experience. Further the driver’s license must be valid for Europe. The required minimum age to rent and drive a car from Tommy’s Rent a Car is 23 years. Dirt and damages caused by animals, construction materials, food or tobaccos, carried in the car must be removed by the client before the car is returned. Otherwise the costs for this concept will be charged to the client. Upon delayed deliver Tommy’s Rent a Car is entitled to charge a conventional fee.

7) The payment is due to pay handing over the car. For the security service a valid credit card is necessary. Please remember: The rental is valid only for Gran Canaria. The cars can not be taken to other countries. It is not allowed to transport the car in any ferry! Do not leave the asphalted roads!

8) What does the insurance not included? The insurance don’t cover the following concepts:

Flat tire

Damages on third parties caused by careless or inconsiderate driving

Damages on the car caused by carelessness or negligence 

Towing fees in case of wrong parking 

Damages on frames and tires

Damages caused by forced opening when any belongings where left in the car

 Loss or damage of the car keys or lock automatic. Depending of the car type the costs oscillate between 50,00.- € and 120,00.- €

Damages on the lock mechanism and seats

Damages or loss of the child seats and high seats 

Damages or loss of antennas, jacks, windscreen wipers or fuel taps

Engine damage caused by negligence

Damages on the bottom (like the sump)

Theft of the car if the keys where left inside

Drunkenness
